Jewellery

Anne-Marie Chagnon

The jewellery of Anne-Marie Chagnon reflects the creator, at once eccentric and aesthetic. Her sculptured jewels of fine pewter, glass and horn are sold across Canada, the United States and Europe.

In 2003, Cirque du Soleil approached Anne-Marie for its Zumanity and Dralioin shows. From this association was born an exclusive collection that now travels the world along with Cirque.

A graduate of Fine Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Anne-Marie creates her original sculptures inside a constant research of asymmetric equilibrium, vitality and movement.

Patricia Doyle

BC artist Patricia Doyle began to express her love of glass and light using a lampworking technique to create each unique one-of-a-kind bead after many years of creating stained, fused, and mosaic glass pieces. Her beautifully designed jewellery combine these one of a kind, handcrafted beads with a variety of other stones - Austrian Swarovski crystals, Czech fire beads, fresh water pearls, sterling silver beads and toggles, bone and semi-precious beads such as natural turquoise, amber, amethyst, peridot, smoky quartz, jasper, and carnelian-to create unique and beautiful jewellery for you and others to enjoy.

To create each individual glass piece, Patricia uses a torch to heat the thin rods of brightly coloured glass to temperatures of more than 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. Although the tools have improved over time, she still employs the same basic methods that have been used to produce glass beads for more than 2000 years. If you look close enough you will often find a sparkle of 23k gold leaf, silver or palladium leaf, or aventurine copper in her beads.

In the Gallery Shop you will also find Patricia's specially designed Handkerchief Candle Holders which come in a variety of colours.

PYRRHA

Wade Papin and Danielle Wilmore have been creating the Pyrrha line from their studio in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1994. Both self-taught in jewellery design, Wilmore previously studied photography and Papin, journalism. The two cite their constant collaboration, in art and life, as the secret to their success. Demand for their charmingly chic work has grown Pyrrha's operations from its original two-person staff to a small atelier working under Papin and Wilmore's direct supervision.

Pyrrha's collection features pendants, rings and bracelets cast from authentic 19th century European wax seals that were used to seal letters. Each design is rich in symbolism with icons and mottos from family heraldry. Highlighted are designs featuring stags, dragons, lions and griffins.

Pyrrha is available at boutiques across Canada, the United States and Japan.

*the name Pyrrha is derived from the Greek myth of Pyrrha and Deucalion, the only
two survivors of a great flood. The oracle at Apollo instructed them to toss stones
over their shoulders, and Deucalion's stones became men, Pyrrha's women.

Dunrovin Ranch Designs

Darlene MacDonald of Dunrovin Ranch Designs creates fun, useful pieces through kiln work created and fired in her Millarville, AB studio. Her Dichroic Glass Jewellery is beautifully created by fusing two or three pieces of glass together at a high temperature to make a unique, one-of-a-kind cabochon. Each piece of glass is cut by hand. These exquisite cabochons are turned into pendants either by notching and hand wrapping them with sterling silver, or by adding a sterling plated bail.
